PREFACE It
has been the aim of the Publisher to compile the present edition of the
LYNN DIRECTORY with especial care.
By looking at the list of alterations, it will be observed that
many changes have taken place since the last number was issued. We tender our thanks to all
who have aided and encouraged us in the work. It is with pride we record the
fact of the rapid increase of the population and wealth of
Lynn.
Should the sale of this edition warrant the undertaking, the next
will contain a fine copperplate map of the
